Taneli Stenberg
“In recent years, I have worked extensively on large-scale murals and various wall paintings. My summer projects have allowed me to focus on studio painting during the winter months. This collection brings together works from different years—fragments of various larger bodies of work. Painting serves as a way to explore and understand the world. At its best, this kind of reflection can reveal something essential about our ways of being and acting. Observation, followed by execution, expands our understanding of the causes and consequences of our actions. Motivation lies at the core of painting: why fill a surface, why paint something at all? This opportunity to question our motives can lead to paintings that carry weight and relevance in the present moment.”

Hukkalanka
Hukkalanka is a soft art project between two friends, Katariina and Mete. The hand-stitched rugs, which play with cheerful colors, are made slowly, knot by knot. The inspiration for the rugs comes from working together and from the randomness of recycled materials.
